TALLMan has been around for almost ten years and, like any dynamic growing organisation, things have changed considerably from the early days. It takes dedication and drive to keep a lively Foundation going and the small team forming the Core Committee makes every effort to meet the needs of the student TALLent. This August a brand new committee joins the fold in an attempt to allow the organization to gain from the insights and skills of those who have passed through the workshops/mentorship programme and moved onward and upward in their lives, while growing the tiers of support and guidance available to current students. Veterans of strong character who have demonstrated the motto to “Stand Tall” and who are also desirous of working with TallMan in a new way have formed the first TallMan Student Leadership Committee, “The TALL Team”.
The TALL team was selected following focused leadership and training workshops and will continue to be supported with ongoing training programmes to enable them to excel in their mandate/mission.
While things change and new faces emerge, one thing remains the same; namely, TallMan’s unwavering determination to support the youth of Trinidad and Tobago in their appreciation and pursuit of the Arts, while developing their innate TALLent and creativity to set them free and allow them to blossom into whole human beings.
